It's not officially spring yet, but the signs show it's getting close. There are some jonquils blooming in our neighborhood. As a matter of fact, I saw some last week that were covered by snow this weekend. But it takes more than a little snow to mess them up and they're fine now. Truthfully, the ones blooming now really are too early, but you can't blame them when we've had temperatures in the 70s, even in February!
Ours are not blooming yet, though the green leaves are up and ready. The tulips are poking out of the ground as well. So far, no blooms on the trees, but have seen tiny little green leaves poking out on some wild thing on the neighbor's fence.
Personally, I'm hoping our flowers wait until "real" spring, as in March 20, but doubt they will. The only reason I care is that once they bloom, they'll be gone... just don't want to see the flowers gone before we even get there!
A part of me is looking forward to it, but at the same time, admit to a bit of uneasiness... not sure why, as the probable reasons vary, but not getting into that now.
